Tyra on Stereotypes

I hardly ever watch the Tyra show but this one definitely caught my attention. I don't know what it is, but lately I have been coming across the most ignorant situations, inside and outside of school, and quite frankly I am TIRED of it all. I even called my mom nearly in tears just so angry at some of the things I have heard and witnessed these past 2 weeks. I'm going to post a video blog one day soon venting about it in more detail, but until then, watch this, and think about it.

Wow.

Ralph is a good man because I couldn't go.

Iv'e heard crazy shit my entire life, race wise, especially being in the mid-west and being black and "mixed"(1/4 Italian etc.)

My best friend, who is black, was asked by a her white roommate,"Ive always wondered..do black girls have periods too?"
She responded,"No. We are asexual. We produce by budding like plants."

and another friend of mine got out of the shower with a towel on. Her white roommate then asked,"Is your skin brown all over?"

Like what the fuck people? But I know all black people have similar racist stories so I'm interested to see your video blog.

Wow. that was crazy.. i felt for the Black women that talked about dating being hard. it's a tough world out there and even though everyone is in their own little bubble, we've got to collide at some point.

..but man. sad sad sad. smh

I think she should host one strictly on lightskin versus darkskin. I think THAT argument SURPASSES all levels of ignorance.

wow.

I just watched that WHOLE thing. That Christian kid really made my blood heat up.

Latrice and Christian should be stuck into a room for LIFE. That would be too interesting.

I'm not going to lie, I honestly think the same thing when I see a black women with a bunch of kids because that is what happens the majority of times.
Yes that black women was well dressed and what not but she's an exception. 9 times out of 10 when I see a blk women with numerous kids SHE DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THAT.
It's not being ignorant or close minded when almost 70% of black children are born out of wedlock and 70% of Black women are single. Most black ppl don't even know where their fathers are. It's just a fucked up situation. I don't know why God hates black people so much, we just never win do we?

And don't come in here with Barack Obama is black, stop trying to claim Barack Obama, he is the son of an African man who went to Harvard and a white woman who went to college. He was raised by white ppl all his life. He is married to a HIGLY educated and clearly intelligent black woman. All of that played a big part in him getting elected. He is not an African American in the sense that he ISN'T a descendant of American Slaves.
Get that through your heads, that should be a slap in the face for American blacks, because to me they are just doing the worst.

I honestly think most American Black women are ghetto and loud as hell and need to revamp their attitudes. What type of woman refers to themselves as a bitch? What type of women spend all their time talking about their fucking hair and pumping billions of dollars into the weave industry? What women have the most inferiority complexes? Black women. I have met VERY few American black women that carry themselves like a woman.

Most of them are overweight and it annoys the heck out of me because I'm grouped in with them. I also feel black women are mad bitter, every time a desirable black man dates a white woman they get all upset and start crying. Nobody wants to be with an overweight attitudinal miserable person.
I honestly think single black mothers are destroying America, if you ask me they are to blame for a great portion of the ridiculous crime rates.

OMG Latrice is a walking contradiction...lmao

I feel you and this video though about the racism. Being bi-racial & growing up/living in the south is hard. The sterotypes are crazy...Even now that I'm in college, i've realized it's no different. I go to a HBCU right now and it's no better.

I hope you don't let the ignorance people say hurt you anymore hun!

I just watched this & immediately wanted to slap the shit outta Christian when he said he walks around with his friends saying the n-word like its nothing...

I'm black & beat the shit out of a girl in the middle of class in 7th grade for calling me that...

Also Brittany for judging her friend who was going out with a Mexican guy...Most of my friends, and a few of the guys I've gone out with are Mexican...There's nothing wrong with them...I'm fluent in Spanish & people look at me like I'm crazy when they hear me speak it...

I've had people tell me I'm not really black & ask what I'm mixed with when they hear my voice or tell me that I talk too white...

I like that the Muslim girl went off on the Arabic guy for being so stupid...

All that being said,
Christian deserves to get his ignorant ass beat...
